This process is for centres to request validation of contextualised Functional Skills controlled assessments to a given context.

Clarification on how to approach the contextualisation of our controlled assessments and to adhere to the requirements can be found in our Functional Skills Writing Guide.

Please note centres are unable to contextualise the reformed Functional Skills English Reading assessment.

Please be advised that the expected turnaround time for a response to a contextualisation request is two weeks.
